Dear sister Zontians, as your new Governor, please accept my very best wishes to you and my expectations that our team work will be unforgettable and fruitful. My simple wish is to try to motivate each and every one of us to do our best in the name of Zonta.

Foundation

The Zonta International Convention in San Antonio approved the 2010-2012 Biennial Goals
The Zonta International Foundation will provide more than 2 million dollars for the International Services and the ZISVAW programs. This goal will be achieved thanks to our generosity. UN

On Friday 2 July, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously decided to establish UN Women, the UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. The creation of a single entity with adequate resources will focus and enhance efforts to promote and advance the rights of women and girls around the world. UN Women will become fully operational on 1 January 2011. Read more in Reserved Area

YWPA -  2010 D30 AWARD

Our District winner YWPA 2010 is Anna Maurer. She was chosen among 21 candidates. This year we had three finalists : Anna chosen by ZC Stuttgart (Area 02 - Germany), Cristina Carosiello from ZC Alessandria (Area 03 - Italy) and Elena Gyaurova from ZC Sofia (Area 05 - Bulgaria). The high level of the Applications received is very remarkable. Anna’s achievements and her social commitment even during the most difficult last year of school convinced the jury.
