In 1985, Zonta International established the Zonta International Foundation to focus organizational
efforts on obtaining the financial resources needed for our international service programs.
The Foundation Annual Funds are the primary source of support for the international service programs of Zonta
International. These Funds support programs that make a difference in the lives of women in more than
75 countries around the world. Every year, the Zonta International Foundation provides more
than US$1 million for programs and projects that benefit thousands of women around the world.
The Foundation depends on the generosity of Zontians, Zonta Clubs, and the many friends of Zonta
to meet the day-to-day financial obligations that make possible these programs and change the lives of women.
Zonta’s effort could not be successful without the financial stability and flexibility provided by
the operating Funds:
The Foundation fundraising goals are determined by the Zonta International Foundation Board, which proposes the
goals to the Zonta International Board. The fundraising goals are presented at Convention as part of the overall Biennial Goals.
